If you want to know more about the CAP, here is a very informative document that will tell you all the basics.

You can also check out the new CAP National HQ site at www.gocivilairpatrol.com.
It has lots of basic info too!
The Gallup Raptor Composite Squadron (simply known as GallupCAP) has been one of the most successful CAP units in the Southwest CAP Region and the Nation!  We have a documented track record of growth and success that other units can only dream about!

GallupCAP (and the CAP as a whole), is at it's heart, a community service organization.  At the present time, we are actively seeking new members that want to be involved in something greater than themselves.  The main focus of our rebuilding process will that of rebuilding our Cadet Program.

In case you didn't know, the CAP Cadet Program is one of the most successful programs of its kind anywhere in the world and just a few years ago, we had the #1 CAP Cadet Program in the entire United States!  We know how to do it! We just seek a few good, motivated young men and women, ages 12-18 to join and become a part of a process that will lead to many benefits, ---  if the Cadet chooses to apply themselves.

We are also actively seeking motivated adult members, ages 18+, (called Senior Members) to join us too!  No previous military background or experience is required, but if you do have a military background, that will be very helpful.  Without Senior Members to teach and supervise our young, our Cadet Program can not operate!

CAP is not for everyone, but if it is for you, it WILL be a life changing experience!

  • Our recruiting team of 2ndLT Showa and SM Tasha Baker and others, has been making the rounds of all the areas schools and other venues to spread the GallupCAP opportunity.  Thus far, the response has been better than expected!  If you see them, ask them lots of questions. They have been in GallupCAP for years and can answer most of the questions that anyone might have about GallupCAP.
  • We have started our regular THURSDAY night meetings again!!!  The weekly meeting will be at the CAP building at the Gallup Airport next to the airport fire station.  Starting time is 1830 hours (6:30pm).  All prospective Cadets must bring their parents with them.  There is no obligation to join for the first few meetings!
  • If you are interested in joining or you know someone who might be interested, please show up at one of our meetings!!!!
*** Prospective Cadets must bring parents or legal guardian***
*  We will be applying to add the word "Regional" to our official name soon to better reflect where some of our membership live.
NEVER QUIT!
We are having regular WEEKLY meetings again!Every Thursday night starting at 6:30pm at the CAP Building at the Gallup, NM Airport (Next to Fire Station). Check the News section below for details.
